The Navigation Bar presents you with shortcuts to the different elements of the site.

MatchedPotatoes is best enjoyed being a Friend. All friends are listed here and depending on your status you will be presented with moderating options.

If you are not logged in, this will register you as a new Friend to MatchedPotatoes. If you are logged in, this will register a new Friend to MatchedPotatoes via your account and only then will this new friend be visible to you in the Friends section.

This will register the new Friend to MatchedPotatoes.

This will cancel the registration and all provided data will be lost.

All Fests are available at the Fests section. This is the location where you can start your own Fest and let the fun begin.

This will create a new Fest on MatchedPotatoes.

The View Fest section is available to all. Certain features are only available when you are a logged in participant of the Fest.

This will navigate back to the Fests section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will navigate to the section where you can edit your Fest.

When you are a logged in participant and you are in a Match of this Fest, this will navigate to your theme image for this Fest

The Edit Fest section is where you as an organizer of the Fest can configure all elements concerning your Fest.

This will save the changes of your Fest to MatchedPotatoes (please be aware that changes saved in specific Fest sections will be saved via their own save button).

This will navigate to the ingredients for this Fest (please note: The first time you use this link, the Fest will be initialized and the Gametype will be fixed to the set value, which cannot be changed after this).

With MatchedPotatoes every participant will be required to bring their own set of Ingredients to the Fest. Via the Initialize section, the organizer has the option to assign all different ingredients to the different participants. You can use the randomize button in order to ease this part. MatchedPotatoes has preconfigured the ingredients and amounts for the courses. The organizer is free to remove or add ingredients here, but is required to keep the total amounts in mind. The idea is to assign different ingredients of different courses to the same participant. Do not assign only ingredients of a single Course to a participant, since that would result in participants cooking with only their own ingridients.

This will randomize the participants over the different ingredients.

This will add an ingredient of the specific category to the course.

This will remove an ingredient of the specific category of the course.

Each participant will form a Match together with one or more other participants of the Fest. Per Match you are required to prepare a single Course. Per Fest, you are not allowed to be in more than a single Match. The organizer of the Fest has the option to preset the different Matches prior to the Fest, or it can be decided during the Fest via a small game (provided by the organizer in the Theme of the Fest), where the worst or best participants form the Match.

This will save your matches and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will randomize the Theme Images over the different ingredients. Use this when you as the organizer of the Fest do not want to see the selected Theme Image per match.

This will add a participant to the Course.

This will remove a specific participant from the Course.

Theme Images are what makes MatchedPotatoes really fun. The idea with Theme Images is that the organizer can gather a couple of images based on the specifiv Theme. Each Match will get one of these Theme Images, and they can gain bonus points when they are able to have their dish represent that Theme Image in such a way that they other participants are able to recognize it from the set of Theme Images. All Theme Images are shown on the Score Cards. This is the section where Theme Images are provided to the Fest. See Match Selection for more information on setting a Theme Image to a Match.

This will save your theme images and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will provide you with a file dialog to add images from your system to MatchedPotatoes.

A Fest consists of different Courses. Each Course is presented here as a round. An organizer has the option to enable the different rounds, making them available to the participants (in the form of a Your Course or a Score Card in the Score Cards section of the View Fest section). An organizer has the option to disable the "per round" setting, in which case all courses are automatically available based on the created Matches (see Match Selection for more information).

This will save your round setttings and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

With a Fest being a match, the Prize Ceremony displays the results. As an organizer of a Fest you have the ability to show the Prize Ceremony to your participants.

This will save your prize ceremony setttings and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will discard any changes and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will email all invitees who have not yet agreed to join your Fest. In case someone has declined your invite, you have the option to reinvite this person again.

This will email all shopping lists to the participants of your Fest.

Here you can add Friends to your Fest. Please do so by selecting them from the provided list and save your changes. If there are friends missing in the provided list, then feel free to add them via the Add Friend button. Once you are done you can save the selection and the selected friends will be stored as invitees to your Fest.

This will add the selected friends as invitees to your Fest and navigate back to the Edit Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.

This will navigate you to the registration form for a new Friend (see Add Friend Registration for more information).

Here you can register new Friends to MatchedPotatoes. The friends created here by you will be available to you in the Friends section.

This will save the new Friend and navigate you back to Add Friends section. The newly created friend is now available in the list as well.

This will discard any changes and navigate back to the Add Friends section of your Fest.

Score cards are used to set your scores per course. Each course of a Fest will provide you with a unique score card, all listed below eachother per Fest. If the organizer of the Fest has enabled the "Per Round" checkbox, the score cards will only be available if the organizer of the Fest has activated the round. There will only be score cards available for courses where the organizer has configured the Match for (See Match Selection for more info) and only for these participants that are not in the Match for that specific Course, so you do not get to score your own Course.

This will save your scores and navigate back to View Fest.

This will discard any changes and navigate back to the Add Friends section of your Fest.

Shopping lists are automatically generated per user via the Initialize section of your Fest. When there are no ingredients assigned to you, then you will be presented with a message that your shopping list is not yet generated. As participants do not know which Course they will be cooking, they do not have any impact on making it harder for other participants, as they may very well be cooking with Ingredients they bought themselves.

This will navigate back to the View Fest section of MatchedPotatoes.
